Type 2 Fun

Our kayaking guide told us that kayaking is “type 2 fun” which is the type of fun where you’re kind of miserable during the activity but are also having the time of your life.

I had never heard this before and immediately knew I had a phrase that I’d use for the rest of my life. Highly recommended colloquialism.
